Crumple browsing on the edge of the woods, I7, the others all grazing on the other side of the path, spread out in J7.  All looked fine, not raining this morning but very wet from heavy rain overnight.

I met some dog walkers who said they had found the pedestrian gate by the car park not properly closed on several occasions.  May be worth checking in future.  I usually walk over the cattle grid as the catch is stiff so would not usually notice.

All looked fine grazing in N4, very damp morning after the sunny bank holiday

At 08:30 this morning, all the girls were standing, heads down spread out in K7/8 & L7/8, all looking fine and enjoying the sunshine at last.

It was tipping it down with rain we ran around the perimeter of the big field and could not see the girls anywhere they were probably sheltering from the rain..

Grazing happily, all looked fine.  Daisy in K7 eating silver birch, others together about 100 yds away in K10.

Found girls H6-G7 all heads down munching away all looking fine.

All happy grazing on bramble in the corner of E6,7 and F6,7. Trough is fine water a bit dirty and the blue lick is empty, but the one at L12 is half full.

Apologies for not updating yesterday, manic day!  At 10:20 yesterday (Sunday), all the girls were close together sitting down around the trough in D15, all looking fine.

17th May

All the girls were at K13 early in the morning they were scattered around this area not too close to each other.

At 11am this morning we noticed Daisy first all alone in the very corner of n13,  walking further round,  the others were spaced apart between l10 & l11, all heads down munching away, looking fine although I didn't get too close a look as I was looking after a 6 month old Jack Russell today so had to keep the two of them in control lol.

visited today @ 12.30

Found bambi,daisy and morag lying there chopping away on what seems like nothing, in j11,couldnt find the others anywhere pretty odd really. All was well at the water trough.Wont be on again till monday the 3rd of june.Happy lookering till then .x

Tuesday 14th May - Site Check

Hi Folks,

My name is Richard and I'll be working for the Trust for a couple of months as an Assistant Reserves & Grazing Project Officer so you may see my name pop up on the blog every now and then.

I did a site check at Bramshot Heath this morning and found all five cattle in square H12 and all in fine form. While checking the trough, which was working fine, I dropped of a new lick which should keep them going for a while.

All looked fine grazing, quite spread out, Bambi by log pile I11, near the path Daisy G13, others in G12.

all the girls happily munching away in j5 and j6,checked the water trough all working well i pulled out a load of sludge and leaves to.the lick is all gone in the shallow blue plastic pot.IM AWAY ON HOLIDAY FROM 19TH MAY TO 1ST JUNE,IF ANYONE CAN CHECK THEM ON MONDAYS AND THURSDAYS IN THAT PERIOD I WOULD BE ETERNALLY GREATFUL LOL. X

All 5 having a munch and jolly time at I9.

At 9:30 this morning we followed Daisy down the track in F6, thinking we would see the others but no sign of them, so when Daisy stopped to eat the grass, we continued walking on. Eventually found the others close together in H7 eating grass.  Unusual to see Daisy so far away but they all looked happy and not bothered by me getting a close look at them.  All appeared fine.  I also checked the lick and trough.  It was so good, at last to see some growth coming through now and was lovely to see all the bluebells out.

10th May

All the girls were under a tree @ B6 this morning I think their all expecting rain!!

all the girls were spread out in i5 and i6,munching away and daisy and morag were scratching themselves on the trees. bambi does still look alot thinner than the others and daisys walking speed is worse than ever,her and my old dog walk exaactly the same,same coats too lol. x

Tuesday 7 May 8:10am

Jericho M14, other 4 on the other side of the path, M12/13.  All peacefully grazing on the grass.

There seems a lot of litter, bagged dog poo etc. on the site at the moment, mainly by some of the kissing gates.  There was talk of a volunteer dog warden, did any one take this role on?

If I get a chance, and remember, I will take a bin bag and rubber clothes and have a go at the rubbish.

4 spotted at 1400 grazing around H8.  Didn't see Daisy (the old and slow)

The girls were all together again in D4 as we arrived at 8:10 this morning, sitting by or under cover as it was quite drizzly, all looked fine.

All the girls were at F14 today all looking good

all the girls happily munching away spread out betweenk8 and k9,all seemed peacful,and bambi seemed to have anice fat belly. happy days,at least someones happy with that lol x
