Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    27th September

Could not find the girls this morning was out at 8 am for a long walk they must of been hiding.

    All safe well and dozing

I popped out to check on the reported scramblers yesterday, having phoned the Police (101) and the MoD but although there by 14.15 the bikers had gone. The MoD Range Marshall came out to check the area too but without success. The cattle were increadibly laid back under the trees in the centre near the wood pile, so if they had been disturbed they had recovered well. Thanks for reporting the incident, and for not seeking to confront to hooligans. The Police are keen to log such illegal activity and occasionally mount operations with the MoD to apprehend the culprits and destroy their motor cycles. Sorry for late post.

    Tuesday 24 September 5:30 pm

Jericho and Morag in M6, Bambi, Crumple emerged from the undergrowth N5.  After an extensive search I found Daisy with Jericho in M5 at about 6pm.  I don't know where she was hiding the first time I looked in that area.  All looked well and getting quite rounded. Morag has a lot of burs in the fur round her face.

There is still plenty to eat out there so I have asked the grazier if we can keep them out for a bit longer than originally planned, hopefully December so I will keep you all posted. Thanks Elliott
