Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

Belated pist (wed 28th) Guns, fires, cows! Busy day.

It was all going on today! 2 lots of troops out on exercises, I was leading our weekly volunteers for some much needed vegetation clearance which included a big'ol fire, and the ladies? Barely noticed a thing 😉 All fine and completely nonchalant about what was going on around them.
Please note, there are now 2 fire sites taped off in the southern most  ends of the heath.

    All good today

All three were seen and checked by myself before our work party at 10:30.

One of them, #172 has got quite long hooves which may need trimming.  I will let jack know as their annual TBH test is coming up soon so maybe a good chance to do it then.

Other than that all was good.

Got a call from Hart Council regarding a concerned member of public believing a 'White cow' that was limping. Hart only have Belted on Fleet Pond so passed it to me.
