Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Had a look at 12.30. Found all 4 amongst the gorse in J7, J8. No problems.
    All 4 found fit and well this morning browsing a variety of stuff, windblown fir twigs, etc in G7 along the path.

    All four cattle were in H13 this afternoon happily munching away on heather. All looking fit and well.

    Found cows in N11 grazing on the gorse. All looked clean and healthy, no problems.

    All four were stood in the open seemingly enjoying a bit of sunshine on them., just standing still and looking please to be in the sun.

    Looked at 11.00. Found the cows in I13, J13 grazing on gorse and bramble, moving towards the trough. All looked quite happy - no problems. Checked trough and removed some thin ice. Trough is full and working OK.
    All found this morning grazing mossy grass or browsing gorse in L11/12, and looking fit and contented

    All fine

    Saw all 4 in the middle of the site this afternoon and they were looking well. Trough fine and not iced up.

    Checked cows at 3.30 pm. All grazing quite happily in H4 on dried grasses. Not much green stuff left. No obvious problems.

    All four cattle were in the middle of the site this afternoon. All looking in great condition with nice winter coats.

    Trough ok too.

    Tuesday 13th August - All Cows Off Site

    Hi All,  We've moved the 3 cattle down the track to Pondtail now.  Thanks again for all your help keeping an eye on them.  Best wishes  ...
