Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

Call the office on 01256 381190.
If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

Dropped off a lick under the 2 large pine trees. They were 'quite excitable' when they saw the truck 😉

Wednesday

The three of them were tucked away in the woods near the car park. Of course this was the last place I looked for them. Trough good. Cows good.

Gave them some nuts and put a lick down.

Found Teasel in the woods in L4 - she looks well - but I could not find the boys anywhere. Trough OK. A single mattress has been fly tipped in the car park.

All three looking well today, found them close to one of the areas that the contractors recently cleared.

After weeks of "hard to find" they were an easy spot today on the track at the bottom of K5 seemingly just enjoying the winter sun. All 3 welcomed a head rub and look very fit and well.

Couldn't find them today despite a couple of laps around the area. Did notice the thermal cup is still at the trough though!

All spotted (or rather they spotted me) in K14 Just inside the newly managmanaged area.

Dropped off a lick here near a pile of cut bracken. All look and seem in good health. Had a chat with a couple dog walkers who all spoke very highly of the herd. One chap had a 9 month old Visla, springy lil ball of energy! Np around cattle; )

Lovely, crisp and sunny day.

Eventually, I found them in that area in the centre that has recently had the scrub cut down and burnt - that is hidden from everywhere around it - all 3 fit and well. Trough OK, though iced over a bit.
