Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

Belated post for yesterday. A good Looker session and naughty steers

Well, naughty'ish. They got bored eventually. Those guys have zero social distancing! No ticks, plenty of flies. Nice dust bath.

New chap Jan will be starting up soon. He's a regular runner and competes in marathons so he gets the miles in! Visits loads of our reserves.

He won't like the picture, my bad..

    Tuesday, 16 June 2020

    Tuesday 16th June.

Found them grazing in the open in H15 this afternoon. #67 had found the remains of an old lick and was busy chewing it. The lump on his side is looking ok - I suspect it is a bite. Looks like it may have gone down a bit.

Teasel has some bites on her front right leg, they don't seem to be causing her any agro but we'll keep an eye on it.

All three looking fit and healthy.
