If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:
Call the office on 01256 381190.
If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.
NOTES:
Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.
If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.
Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.
Thank you!

Saturday 3.00
Found all 3 cattle in L11, lying quietly cudding. No obvious problems so I did'nt disturb them. Trough full - looks to be working OK.
All looking well if not being a little stupid in the hottest part of the day and sitting right in the sun. I have also sprayed them for fly and ticks. Through working
Summary: sat rest in dirt bath. She did not stand up and didn't show any signs of concern on approach.
Eyes/Ears/Back end all fine.
Cow: 075 Location: Serve. Aching. Basket Summary: happily grazing within view of 088. Nose/Eyes/Ears fine on inspection and no limp of walking impairment. Walk away as I approached ( no offense taken)
Cow: 067 Location: Deals. Tenures. Suprise Summary: grazing in woods alone. Walked towards me and was happy to have his top knot ruffled. Slight foaming around the mouth (see below image) but no sign of distress or alarm. Eyes/Nose/Back end all fine.

All around the trough this morning. All look well. Trough OK.
Found them grazing in the open in H15 this afternoon. #67 had found the remains of an old lick and was busy chewing it. The lump on his side is looking ok - I suspect it is a bite. Looks like it may have gone down a bit.
Teasel has some bites on her front right leg, they don't seem to be causing her any agro but we'll keep an eye on it.
All three looking fit and healthy.

Evening walk 7.30. Found all three spread out among the trees in K3/L3. unable to get close but they were moving through the trees grazing and looked fine. Trough OK - sound of water running.
Found all 3 grazing as normal, can still see the lump on 067's right side. Think it's about the same as last week. Picture below. Also noticed a burnt circle in the ground (can't give a location ref as I don't have the map), not sure if this has already been raised? Also pictured below!
