Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Sunday 29th

     All 3 spread out across H7, 8 and 9 intently grazing short grass and taking fallen leaves, then browsing gorse and attached birch leaves. Wet and muddy but fit and well.

    All 3 found slowly wandering along the wooded area near the main gate. All looked fine and were busy eating.

    Sunday 15th

     Found the 2 boys just off the track, in gorse, just after Hartland Wood Gate both grazing grass and heather. No sign of Teasal despite our best efforts.

     All in area not far from trough truffling in leaf litter for acorns, beech masts and chestnuts. All well. Trough OK.

     Found all 3 along the far western edge, led up in the trees. All seemed well and happy.

    Sunday 1st

     Saw #160 on main track up from Hartland Wood entrance then was led by him to the other 2 in the centre of the area. All grazing among gorse and bracken. All look OK as far as I could see.
