Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

     Trough frozen but I broke the ice. All 3 up the other end of the area taking brambles. All fit and well and looking good.

    All 3 attempting a drink through the ice in a boggy area, but sunning themselves too! W3W: illogical.topmost.member  All looked fine.

    Trough frozen over so I broke through the surface and removed some large pieces of ice.

     #75 on the track 300m from Hartland Wood entrance. The other 2 off to his right were harder to find. All fit and well and taking heather, bramble and some fungi to taste.

     Scattered about 100m from the trough all eating fallen sweet chestnuts. All fit and well.  Trough OK.

    Found all 3 by the track, all healthy and happy.


    Teasel had a slightly weepy eye, but it looks like she has been rubbing her head in the soil so should be fine.
