Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Apologies

Apologies, I shall not be able to visit today as I'm unwell. I'll attempt a mid week visit if things improve.

    Sunday, 3 December 2023

    Sunday 3rd

Took an inch of ice off the trough.  Cows on the move but eventually found not far from the railway bridge entrance eating fallen leaves. All well.

    Saturday, 2 December 2023

    Saturday 2nd December

Found all 3 eating gorse around W3W: illogical.topmost.member at 11.30am. All looked well and remarkably clean!

The trough is frozen over with quite a thick layer of ice which I was unable to break. There are a couple of small areas where there is access to the water, but it's basically not usuable today.

Tuesday 13th August - All Cows Off Site

Hi All,  We've moved the 3 cattle down the track to Pondtail now.  Thanks again for all your help keeping an eye on them.  Best wishes  ...
