All good but not seen 114 up

 Two of them up and munching today, still haven’t seen 114 on her feet. She was repeatedly licking her front left leg and no amount of gentle encouragement would get her to stand. Would like to see her up on her feet. But she had the sun on her back and was happy grooming more than just her leg as I left.

 If I didn’t know better, I would have said that they haven’t moved since yesterday.  Haven’t seen them stood for two days but they have plenty of cud to chew.

Kissing gate at this location is wide open not an issue for now as it’s in the original paddock

Collars giving early warning

 All good and look to still be enjoying the fresh grass by the gate dividing the fields. Collar was giving warning about 2 m from the gate to the track leading up to the canal. This might be by design but the grass towards that fence looks tasty

 Not sure if the gate is meant to be open but it is and the girls are loving the lash grass by the gates

Reported on Pondtail Blog, but I agree about the gate issue, (although I'd be very impressed if the cows could get through!😄).

Gate towards stream not easy to close

 The gate by the ford in the stream is not easy to close and is being left open. The inner tube is doing its job of keeping the gate close in but it rests 10cm open

 As no one had checked them since Wednesday popped in to see the girls in their new home. Very happy munching the heather

Wednesday 25th March - COW MOVE

Girls moved to Pondtail this afternoon at 12.18. 

Happy with the prospect of a bit more to eat! 

For the time being they are grazing the half of pondtail closest to bramshot whilst I sort a couple of fencing issues on the other half nearest the canal

 Cows quite vocal today, they heard some machinery. All seem fine.

Friday 20th March

All 3 munching grass in the sunshine at ///pilots.abundance.dries.

Dyers Weed's udder still distended and sore looking but she doesn't appear to be bothered by it.

Tiny flies around all 3's udders today.

Weds 18th March - all good

All three grazing in the sunshine - enjoying themselves so much they didn't even look up when I arrived! All looking well. 

Tues 17th March - Staff check

All 3 seen at the railway end of the site. 114's udder still swollen and a little sore looking but bleeding has scabbed over

Tuesday 17 March

 

Met Michael today and we had a ‘cow discussion’, Dyers weed’s udder is still swollen but much better. The other 2 happily munching gorse on Fleet pond side.
