Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

Call the office on 01256 381190.
If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

I haven't been able to find them for the last two days so I was relieved to see the grazing on dry grass just along from the fallen pine in the heath field. Why don't they eat the gorse flowers I wonder are they too small. X

Sorry for the late post. Found all three in H11 yesterday afternoon. They were all looking fit and well and enjoying the nice warm sunshine.

All three cows spread out around the young birch trees opposite the large group of pine trees. They all watched me watching them but seemed fairly calm. X

All three cows were grazing various levels by the path at the bottom of the heath field.They seemed to come a greet me. They look ok but have really slimmed down.bring on the spring, plus that wind is so cold social I can't wait for it too. X

Visited at 1030 hrs. Rosemary in J8 browsing young gorse, whilst Lola and Kitkat where in K12 grazing some low grass but mostly moss. All three look very well. Checked the trough and its OK.
