Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Looked today 3.30 pm found all three spread out around I11, J12. Found Kit Kat well into the gorse bushes eating gorse - i thought they preferred grass! Rosemary and Lola some distance away grazing on the grass. All look healthy no problems

    All looking like they are cueing for the toilet in the left of the heath field. Bossy boots is mounting one of the others, all seems well. X

    All 3 looking good @ 1pm Sunday

    All 3 spread along the path from the main car park gate (E5), all looking well. Not been able to see them for a few week and the coats have grown as Alan said, ready for winter. And it felt like winter today !
    At 1020 hrs today the 3 ladies were in the trees and scrub in I9 browsing on bramble and gorse.  They are fit, well, clean and looking good in their thicker winter coats.

    looked a bit late 5.15 - almost dark. Found all  three cows around L3/M3. Rosemary separated from the other two, head down grazing in bracken and brambles. Kit Kat, Lola, moving with no problems grazing grass along path. All seem quite content with no problems.
