Not blogged for so long but we have recently returned to the site and have always kept an eye on the cattle. We walked over on Saturday with our 13 week old puppy and all 4 cattle were in L9 laying down together in the shade at 9:19. All looked well. Trough all ok too.

Looked at 12.00. Found all four strolling along path at H4. They ambled out of the trees (along by the railway line) crossed the path and started grazing on fresh grass in H5,I5. All looking quite relaxed and moving OK with no problems. Checked the trough, working OK - full to the brim. The cover for the stop-cock had been knocked off and was laying in the grass a couple of feet from the trough. Cleaned the stop-cock hole and replaced the cover but it is not actually fixed and is liable to be knocked off again by little hooves. Possibly needs turf built up around it to "hide" it from interference.

Tuesday afternoon
All four animals were laying up in a dried out wet area. At end of main track parallel to railway. All look good if bothered by flies.
