Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

Call the office on 01256 381190.
If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

Monday 8th August

Eagle's eyes are still a little weepy. Lots of flies around all 4's faces, but other than that all look good. Found all 4 lying down and chewing the cud near the trough, which is fine.

All stood and super calm by the trough. No sign of problem with Eagle's eye. All fit and well. Trough OK.

All 4 seen in the heathers near southwood lane area. Eyes seem better, no weepy bits seen.

The girls looked very content this morning, happily chewing the cud in the shade by the water trough. Water trough was filling slowly but was 80-90% full so not a problem.

Monday- I popped by since I was at Pondtail and concur with Pam's post 😁 I have taken a photo of the gooey eyes to send to the grazing team.

Mondsy 1st August

All 4 still by the trough, lying down. Teasle was snoring!😆 Flies still around. Eagle has some discharge from his left eye.

Trough fine.
