Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Tues 9th - Staff check

    3 cattle seen well near the railway side entrance. Quite a few ticks on them

    No issues

     All sat down enjoying what little sunshine was making it through the cloud. Some flies but not too bad.

    Found all 3 together eating grass and gorse. Looks as if Evan might have a tick of some sort on his left side?

     #88 and #60 lying cudding in G8. The big fella #75 near tarmac track on way in from railway gate browsing bramble. All fit and well.

    All three cows basking contentedly in the sun but their noses and eyes are bothered by lots of flies which look very annoying. The trough is full .

    Monday 1st May

    All 3 found at W3W:pretty.needed.chill at 10.20am.
    Caledonia and Teasle lying down chewing the cud and Evan munching on leaves nearby. Bothersome flies around their noses, and some slight discharge from Teasle's right eye.
