Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

Not easy to spot them now everything is shooting & the tall grasses but at around 10:50 we first saw Bambi in K6 head down grazing, her coat is looking lovely now. Morag & Jericho were grazing in I5 with Crumple standing in J4, looking fine. Then...do you think I could find Daisy! Well we know she can wonder at times but I must say, after 15 mins looking, I was getting concerned. Then my dog Rosie went running off into the woods, came back and looked at me as if to say I've found her. So off I go and thank goodness, there she was sitting down deep in the woods in L3. I got up close to make sure she was ok but although she didn't move and was not bothered by Rosie, I did get a good look at her and she did appear ok. so glad I found her though!
