Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    visited yesterday @2pm

    all the girls happily grazing in n/m4. There does seem to be some skin irritation on the the cow with the scar on her side [just near the scar],it looks like it maybe getting a bit scabby. I meet Andy there at the same time so nice to meet a new face. I love how brazen they are with the dogs ,its nice to see that the dogs are healthily scared of them. x

      Haha indeed, a little caution goes a long way ;)

      Thanks for the update on the scar, I noticed a little scabbing when I saw her last and from what I recall after speaking to Jack about similar situations, this is more than likely a sun factor e.g. British Whites do get sun burn bless'em. So it will look a little uncomfortable but is normal under such conditions. Do ring me if you notice it seeping/bleeding etc.
