Just had to blog today!
On the return leg of our walk this morning at around 7:30 we walked past the trough (all ok) to be confronted by one of the cows coming towards us. One of my JRT’s is quite yappy so we stood aside to let the cow pass. Further down the path, another was coming towards us, again we gave it room to pass. Then I thought, how strange, the third was no-where to be seen. We carried on walking, onto the track/road out off the woods and then this massive mooing noise coming from further down the track, it mooed another 3 times! I’m guessing it was calling for the others?
Made my day! never have I heard any of the cows moo in all the years I’ve volunteered lol
Emergency Procedure
If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:
NOTES:
Thank you!
- Call the office on 01256 381190.
- If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
- Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.
NOTES:
- Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.
- If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.
- Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.
Thank you!
