Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

     Monday 1st March

Found near the trough around 10.30am. Didn't notice Evan's scratch, so may have been after this? (Didn't blog until after lunch).

I easily found Teasel first but she was on her own. She started walking down the track alongside the fence so I followed her in the hope that we'd come across the other 2. She mooed when she saw them on the opposite track and all 3 started walking back to the trough!

Are there now 2 of us looking on a Monday? Might be good to co-ordinate times if this is the case, or maybe change days?

    1. Hi Pam,

      Hope you're well.

Just to let you know that Harry (who also checked the cattle yesterday) is a member of staff.

Each week a member of the team is assigned to checking the livestock across all of our sites. They work this into their schedule for the week and will inevitably end up visiting sites on random days.

      Regards

      Rich.
